How is this different from running a quiz with paper?

Everything's the same about the experience — host, rounds, scoring drama — except the questions arrive auto-generated, the answers are marked instantly, and the standings appear on the big screen. The host's job becomes hosting, not admin.

Can we choose the topics?

Yes — fully. Pick general knowledge, or theme nights (80s, sports, film, music, geography, your venue's town), or mix specific rounds (one music round, one sport round, one general). AI generates appropriate questions for each.

What if we want to bring our own questions?

On Pro and Enterprise tiers you can upload your own question banks. Hosts who've been running quizzes for years often have a personal stash they want to keep — fine to mix custom and AI questions in the same night.

Do guests need to download an app?

No. Players scan a QR code or enter a short game code at epicly.live in any phone browser. Five-second join.

How long is a session?

Typical quiz night: 4-6 rounds of 6-10 questions each, 45-60 minutes total. Configurable based on your venue's rhythm.

What hardware do we need?

A screen the room can see, a device to display Epicly (laptop, Fire Stick, smart TV, Apple TV), and venue WiFi for guests. That's it.

Can different team sizes play together?

Yes — teams of any size can compete in the same night. Scoring accounts for team size if you want, or runs raw if you prefer.
